Hylight UK unveils new Custom SD 2x12” Combo

Press Release for Guitar Summit 2026

We’re at Hylight UK are proud to announce productions of the new Custom SD 2x12” combo with added modern features (Effects Loop, Line Out). The Hylight Custom SD (2xEL84s) offers decent clean headroom, punchy tightness, and bright chime with huge dynamics, ideal for crunchy British rock, unmatched cleans with the power of the distinctive EL84 tube-voiced harmonics.

Sound: Massive clean headroom, bold, tight, crisp, punchy; gets very loud. EL84 tubes give it a unique open, chimey, aggressive top end compared to traditional amps manufactured in the 70s.
Best For: Huge clean tones, powerful crunch, British rock, Gilmore-esque sounds.
Key Feature: Attenuator (half-watt mode) for cranked tones at lower volumes.

The Custom SD combo was created in response to the high demand for a lower-powered VR504 amplifier with added features for the modern player: EFFECTS LOOP and LINE OUTPUT. The Custom SD amp produces even harmonics but with more attack and clarity. It is hand-wired in our Custom Shop, point-to-point with meticulous original wiring. This 20W combo is made in England with the best available components for those guitar players who are looking for a classic British sounding amp based on the early 70’s models.

The amp delivers 20-watt output at full power and has a built-in attenuator (via splitting the transformer, activated with a toggle switch on the front control panel), which can dial back the output to ½-watt. Its preamp tube configuration includes four 12AX7s/ECC83s and the combo comes standard equipped with a pair of Fane F70 12” speakers. Other speaker options include Fane A60s, Crescendos reissue, A30, F30, F25, and F90. Hylight also offers Celestion speakers options upon request.

The Hylight VR204 model is based on the VR504 amplifier configuration. This amp is powered by 2xEL84 in the power stage, with 3xECC83 in the pre-amp, giving a classic Floyd sound. Fitted in a 2 x 12’ shaped size. Now you can rock out with a delicate sound of thunder.  This model truly shines like a diamond! The amp features 4 inputs, normal, and brilliant with high and low impedances. The 2 channels can be cross-patched which allows users to blend the tone of the normal and brilliant channels. Add your favourite pedals to create your own personalised sound.

Hylight UK unveils new hand made fuzz pedals

Hylight Electronics’ designers turn their hands to productions of HyFuzz MK I, HyFuzz MK II and GENX MK I.

We’re at Hylight UK are proud to announce productions of 3 x fuzz pedals based on combination of classic fuzzes infused with modern touches. All the pedals are point to point hand-wired, with the very best quality components. This ensures reliability, attention to detail and military precision in building a truly road-worthy pedal.

The 2 fuzz stompboxes feature a Fuzz Sustain and Output Level controls, while the GENX MK I offers an additional Filter.
