Hylight design pedals

Hand-wired Modern Classics
A modern take on a classic tone
Hylight Electronics’ designers turn their hands to productions of
HYFUZZ MK I
HYFUZZ MK II
GENX MK I
The productions of 3 x fuzz pedals are based on combination of classic fuzzes infused with modern touches. All the pedals are point to point hand-wired, with the very best quality components. No machines, solder baths or PCB’s, honouring the traditional way pedals were labour-intensively constructed in the 60’s. This ensures reliability, attention to detail and military precision in building a truly road-worthy pedal.
The 2 fuzz stompboxes feature a Fuzz Sustain and Output Level controls, while the GENX MK I offers an additional Filter. The pedals are hand-built by Hylight engineers, who partially base their design on the original fuzz boxes manufactured back in the ’60s.

The original designer of tone bender
Hylight UK unveils fuzz pedals hand made by the original designer of Tone Bender: Mr. Gary Hurst.

We’re at Hylight UK are proud to announce a partnership with Gary Hurst, the designer of the Tone Bender, for reproductions of two classic fuzz pedals:
The Fuzz Man, Octave Fuzzer and Phazer MK II

The pedals are hand-built by Mr Hurst, who manufactured the original fuzz boxes for Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, The Beatles, Spencer Davis Group back in the in the ’60s.

The sound will likely be authentic and akin to the old CBS/Arbiter, Meazzi UFO and Gary’s own “Electronic Sounds” pedal brands of the ’70s. Made in a zinc-plated Dark Blue powder finished case with silver Logo and function descriptions.Powered by 9V battery or by 9V Power Adapter.

Three controls are on the top, labelled Fuzz Sustain, Output Level and Filter Hi/Lo. Made in a zinc-plated Dark Blue powder finished case with silver Logo and function descriptions. Powered by 9V battery or by 9V Power Adapter.
